Every time I begin to write a new post, I can't help but smile to know that something epic is coming, it's 2012 and now the time has approached to prepare a new adventure to rival both Eurotrips.
Having well and truly conquered Europe, we have set our sights further, towards Asia. My ends. With our good friend Liam Swainbank travelling Vietnam last year, we have decided to travel to Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong Kong. So far, the plan is still in the early stages but this is the type of adventure that we had forseen as soon as we stepped off our return flight from Brussels.
Who, will be accompanying me on this trip is still up in the air. With Victor on placement throughout summer and GatNav struggling for funds, it looks like the adventure will not reunite the original trinity. However, Leo Chen has staked a place and as mentioned above, Swainbank is more than onboard. Phil Crawley, made infamous in the last Amsterdam post through his book `Sophie's World' has a year abroad in Spain next year and so funds are evidently tight there. So, who exactly will step up to the plate? Alex Yoh perhaps... or not. Either way, this post is purely out of excitment of summer and despair from looking out of the window to see frozen pavements and six inches of snow.
Sat here with a sprained ankle I can't wait to get flights booked and arrangements made to taste the culture of so many different places. Of course, I'll be the tour guide in Hong Kong but that doesn't bother me one bit as I'll be home, I'll see my family and most importantly I'll see the new addition, little Gabriel.

Despite fears of Malaysia being to expensive to drink, it is just like every other travel myth placed on websites across the internet. It's safe to say that it's never as bad as it is made out and after speaking to a few Malaysian friends and referring to relatives and friends blogs, money problems will probably be the least of our worries.
So it's settled, Asiatrip is our next adventure and over the coming months flights and hostels will be booked like always and we'll all be slaving through exams trying to reach the end of the torture until we can embrace freedom and jet off for another adventure of a lifetime. Let's hope I'm not travelling solo...
Keep watching.x
